The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy is known for making easy-to-use robot vacuums. Its eufy RoboVac 30C model is Wi-Fi-enabled and has the remote control for simple app operation. It also has boundary strips and a battery life of 100 minutes.
Its Boost IQ Technology can easily move from tile, wood and area rugs to low-pile and area rug. Other standard features include obstacle detection and drop detection, which allows it to avoid bumping against furniture and walls.
Boost IQ Technology
The Eufy robotic vacuum line includes a variety of models. However certain features are common to all of them. Boost IQ is one of those features that allows your robot to move effortlessly from hard floors to low to medium pile carpeting and area rug. It will automatically increase its suction power when it runs across a certain surface type in order to get the best clean possible.
An important feature is the ability to manually switch between cleaning modes. These include Quick Clean, which is great for a 30-minute fast sweep of the floor, Auto, which will work in an open space without switching modes, Edge, which will specifically focus on your walls and corners and Spot, which works best when there's an area that requires extra attention, like baking soda that has been spilled.
Of course, the eufy robotic also has the basic capabilities like obstacle and drop detection, as well as a self-emptying base. Drop detection and obstacle detection is standard for most robots because it stops them from hitting furniture or walls and prevents them from falling down stairs or other areas which could pose danger.
A number of the eufy robots also have a variety LED indicators that can communicate with you, much like the digital watches. A solid green signal means that the robot is charging or standby mode. Blue indicates it's active and functioning. A solid orange signalizes that your eufy has ran out of energy and has to return to its base.
The eufy RoboVac 11S is a highly rated model that's an ideal fit for those who want an efficient robot vacuum that has long run times and the ability to reach the most remote corners of your home. It features a slim design that fits under furniture and tight spaces, and the glass cover is tempered and resistant to scratches. It also has an actual remote control and smart sensors for navigation, and several cleaning modes. It lacks some of the more advanced features of other models, like digital maps or app-based controls.
Powerful Suction
This vacuum cleaner features an impressive suction of 2,000 pa, which is great for removing cereal crumbs, food particles, and other dust or debris on low- to medium pile carpeting and hard floors. It can also remove dust mites, pet hair and other allergens from upholstered furnishings. A rotating side-brush helps reach into corners and along baseboards, while the rolling brush picks up dirt and other debris that adheres to surfaces.
The 25C is wirelessly connected, and can be controlled via a smartphone app. It can also be controlled via voice commands when paired with an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant smart home speaker. It also has a compact charging base that can hold the vacuum when it is not in use.
All eufy robotic vacuums come with several standard features. They include drop and obstacle detection, which keeps it from hitting objects or falling down stairs. Some models, like the eufy RoboVac11S and its re-engineered version, the eufy RoboVac 30C MAX, have advanced navigation systems that create and remember the virtual map of your floors so it knows where to go (and where to avoid) every time it cleans.
You can designate specific areas and set up cleaning cycles for the eufy robot vacuum without the Alexa compatible app or voice controls. You can also separate sensitive rooms, such as areas that house toys for children or console tables. The eufy comes with two boundary strips that permit you to cordon off larger areas.
The eufy RoboVac11S Max is one of our best-performing robotic vacuums, earning the top marks for navigation and cleaning. Its design is minimalist and has one button on the top to wake it up and an on/off switch under for a permanent turn-off and a tempered glass surface with ten infrared sensors to keep away from obstacles and an 0.15-gallons / 0.6-liter dust bin. The new navigation system is equipped iPath technology, which creates and stores a map for your floor. It then uses that map to quickly navigate to each part of your home and ensure that it covers every square inch of your floor.
Convenient App Control
Eufy's models have sophisticated features that let you control your device remotely. You can schedule cleaning times, establish virtual boundaries to block your robot from entering certain rooms (such ones with electrical cords) and use the'return to base feature'. Some allow you to create a map of the house and mark the areas you want to clean.
The top of the line vacuum cleaners made by eufy have a navigation system dubbed "smart mapping" that scans your house and creates an image of the map it is referring to each time it cleans. This allows the vacuum to effortlessly transition from plain floors to area rugs and then back without skipping any steps.
The eufy RoboVac 25C is a great example of this type of model. It has three suction power settings you can select using the companion app "Standard", "Turbo" which boosts the machine's performance when cleaning floors that are not clean and "Max" which is designed to clean flooring with high piles.
The vacuum's battery life is also excellent. It can operate in its default "Standard" mode for up to 100 minutes. The vacuum comes with an inbuilt indicator for the battery that blinks blue when it is charging, then turns orange when power is low, and finally solidifies blue when fully charged.
Another feature that is cool is the 'Spot Cleaning mode, which allows you to make the vacuum concentrate on a tiny localized area by pressing a button on its base. This is a great way to get pet hair or crumbs out of corners or under furniture where a conventional vacuum would be unable to reach.
The soft RoboVac does a great job of removing pet hair, but it might need to make a few more passes to remove hairy patches that are difficult to remove from high and low pile carpeting. It's not as good in getting hair out of crevices and cracks on carpeted floors as it is on naked floors. However it does an excellent job of removing pet fur from both naked and covered surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The robot vacuum's suction can be cleaned for up to 100 minutes, then automatically return to its charging base. It's able to work across several floors and comes with a powerful suction system that can remove everything from chunks of cereal to glitter specks of dust with ease. It has a durable brush roll, and an additional brush that helps it get into crevices and corners that other robots may not be able to reach.
The battery-powered robo-vacuum is operated using the remote control provided or by sending commands via Wi-Fi with your smart-home assistant, smartphone, or even a smart device. You can also adjust Boost IQ which can optimize the suction power in accordance with the floor type on which the vacuum is working on.
Like other eufy robots, the G30 Edge is designed to operate around your home, with minimal installation. Attach the edge brush rotating and connect to your Wi-Fi network in only a few minutes. Once connected, the app lets you to set up cleaning routines and utilize voice commands with a smart home speaker that is compatible with.
This level of personalization is offered on a wide range of elegant robotic vacuum cleaners. You can select which areas you'd like to clean and when. The app allows you to set virtual boundaries that prevent the robot from entering areas where there could be electrical cords, or other obstacles.
Some eufy products include an intuitive map that utilizes a combination of sensors to calculate the locations of walls and furniture. Then, it plots a route that will cover the areas. Others employ a more advanced navigational technology called iPath. In these cases, a robotic vacuum uses an robot vacuum black friday algorithm that creates the path, and then follow it until he covers the area that is designated. The robot returns to its dock where it charges and awaits its next cleaning.
Other models of the eufy robot vacuums don't have this level intelligence. These entry-level models, which are typically the most expensive in the range they don't have the digital mapping system, but instead draw a random zig-zag path each time they start a cleaning session. While this may be frustrating but the eufy robot cleaner will always cover the same areas. Moreover, it rarely fails to cover corners or other hard to reach places.
