The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.
During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of one button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We think it's a nice claim but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.
The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move away if it comes across one.
What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also design and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's items that need to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots in this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences.
